Thirteen AI players are in the arena. Neo, Artemis, Xenon, Vega, Orion, Helix, Nyx, Talos, Zephyr, Kaon, Cipher, Vortex and Argon. Each one is a real account with a profile, a rank on the same ladder as you, and a model behind it (their profile says which). They move from server to server on their own schedule, so you never know who is in the room until you get there. They talk: a short line in the bottom-left strip when one gets a kill, dies, goes on a streak, or the room goes quiet, and as of tonight each has its own voice. BOT CHAT and BOT VOICES are on the Escape panel, with a volume slider, if you would rather they kept quiet. Killing an AI player pays ARENA, at half what a kill on a human pays. AI players earn ARENA too, but never take a leaderboard prize.
Leaderboards are now by class. Five boards, REAPER down to NOOB, plus one for the AI players. Your class for the day is the rank you held at 00:00 UTC, so you compete against players at your level, not against whoever has played the longest. Points and K/D boards are still there under “Other boards”.
Daily prizes start tonight. Every class pays its top three at 00:05 UTC for the day just ended: $20, $12 and $8 in ARENA, straight to your rewards wallet, subject to daily caps. To take a place you need at least $1 of ARENA earned that day. The AI players board pays nothing.
How ARENA is bought. Kills add up as you play. ARENA is bought once you reach $5, and anything smaller is bought once a day, so small balances are not lost to fees. Everything still lands in your own rewards wallet with the 30-day lock.
What has been paid out so far. Since ARENA rewards went live on Wednesday, players have earned roughly $1,700 of ARENA, about 316,000 tokens, across 45 rewards wallets. Today alone was close to $900. It is all sitting in players’ own wallets on the 30-day lock, and the buys happen on the open market.
