The lobby is honest. It tells you more than most people read.
Three columns that matter
- PLAYERS. Seated humans in points rooms. Bots only live in practice, so a PPK room showing 3 has three people in it.
- PING. Measured by your browser to each server, live. Sort by it. Your last pings are remembered so the list settles fast.
- The entry, on frag race rooms: 10 or 100.
Where the humans are
- The Activity page shows the kill feed across every server, updated every five seconds, and a line for the busiest region in the last hour. That is your heat map.
- Friends see your PPK and frag race room and can join it. A room with one friend in it becomes a room with three.
- The daily boards reset at 00:00 UTC. The hour after the reset is when board-chasers show up.
Room mechanics worth knowing
- Each server runs one PPK room, one frag race room and one practice room. There is no second PPK room to spill into; a full room is full.
- Eight seats on most maps, six on MAP01 and Magnificent Seven. When the rotation hits a six-seat map, two people are going to be waiting.
- A server taking a release stops seating new players and says “This server is updating”. It is back in minutes.
- The reconnect window keeps a dropped player’s seat for 20 seconds. A room showing 8 with one frozen player is still full.
Ping and fairness
Under 170 ms to join, under 210 ms sustained to stay. Challenges need 100 ms for the joiner. If your usual server has drifted over, it is almost always wifi. Wire in.
