# I got "10 points needed to play perps". Where do I get points?

**Question:** New account, played a couple of PPK maps, died a lot, now I cannot get back in.

**Answer:** PPK rooms need 10 points at the door. If you have dropped under, the ways back up:

1. **Frag race on a 10-point server** , if you have at least 10. Two or more humans in the room and a top-three finish pays out of the pot.
2. **A referral code** in Settings, if you are inside your first 30 days and have not added one. That is 100 points.
3. **A friend can send you points** from your profile, if you are accepted friends. Up to 1,000 per gift.
4. **Practice** costs nothing and scores nothing, but it is where you get better so the next PPK session goes the other way.

Points cannot be bought.
